FastScripts 3.3.2: Menu and Folder Alias Fixes

May 13th, 2024

FastScripts 3.3.2 is now available on the FastScripts home page, or by selecting “Check for Update” from the FastScripts menu.

This update includes a variety of fixes to improve the reliability and functionality of the app. Notably, you can now “select” running tasks from the script menu. It won’t run the script again, but if you hold any of the usual keyboard modifiers (shift, option, or command) while selecting, it will invoke the expected function (reveal, edit, or set keyboard shortcut).

Complete list of changes for this release:

FastScripts 3.3.2

  • Running tasks now reflect menu focus and can be selected with keyboard modifiers to reveal/edit/etc.
  • Fixes to update the menu correctly when changes are made to aliased or symlinked folders
  • The script menu is now updated accordingly when a file’s Finder visibility changes
  • Work around an issue where FastScripts’s menu dismisses after clicking when secure input is disabled
  • Fix the “Open Web Page” scripting addition so it continues working on macOS 14.4+

May 4th, 2024

Black Ink 2.3.2 is now available on the Black Ink site and has been submitted to the Mac App Store. Black Ink 2.1.2 for iOS has been submitted to the iOS App Store.

This update fixes a bug, introduced in the previous updates to both apps, that caused an alert to appear after every entry if “Automatic Correction” is enabled and the puzzle has no answers included. Worse, on iOS the attempt to display the alert resulted in a crash.
