After update to Capitan launching of MS-Word Scripts for simultaneous changing of font an keyboard-layout lasts 4-5 seconds, instead of less than 1 sec under Yosemite!

Hi Thomas! I guess you mean with FastScripts launching the scripts? Drop me a line support@red-sweater.com with a copy of the script and I’ll take a look to see if I have any ideas about what’s going on.

  3. Thomas Kruse Says:

Adressing keyboard shortcuts runs incredibly slow, lasting 4-5 secs to launch a MS-Word script (changing of font and keyboard layout) compared to less than 1 sec under Yosemite!

  4. Thomas Kruse Says:

Thanks! I just sent you an email with the scripts.

  5. Daniel Jalkut Says:

In case anybody is curious, Thomas’s script seemed to be slow because of what appears to be a system-related slowness in El Capitan with the GUI Scripting “click” command. His script uses this functionality to automatically click a menu item from a status bar item, and for some reason this click is taking a long time even when the script is run from Script Editor.
